 BatWars Bats!

Eggleston Park, CincinnatJune 12 Saturday - Stop number two of the "Rollin Road Show" Bat Wars was held at Eggleston Park in Cincinnati. Players form all over the tri-state area traveled to play in the USSSA class men's "D" tournament sponsored by Easton Sports or they just came for Bat Wars. "What an incredible experience, it was totally worth the drive in from Chicago. I had read about Bat Wars for a few years now and always wanted to go. Thank you for such a great event! I will definitely be back, stated Brad Gerometta from Chicago. The backstop was lined with new sticks right out of the wrappers for player and participants to try all day long for free. That's right free!
"The event is possible through sponsorship and partnership with all the major manufacturers that make the event the success it is," said Bob Grey, National Advertising and Promotional Director for Softball Magazine. "Combine those great relationships with the events title sponsor Eastbay "The Official Catalog Of Bat Wars" and it easy to see why the Bat Wars is such a huge win- win for everyone involved, especially the players," continued Grey.
From the new Synergy Plus to the whole new line up from Worth Sports the Max120, PST and Insanity players were allowed to swing as many bats as many times as they wanted to see what bat was right for them. Over $5000 of Tournament Prizes included: Easton Bats, Bat Bags Batting Gloves, Hats & Shirts

Eggleston Park, Cincinnati - Cincinnati's top men's class "D" teams battled both the weather and the competition all weekend long to see who would
earn the berth to the worlds and carry home the Easton equipment. Beautiful Eggleston Park was the site for stop number three of Softball Magazine's National Championship Tournament Series which will award over $40.000 in prizes and equipment this year. Easton Sports was the proud sponsor of the Cincinnati stop with teams earning Easton Synergy's, Bat Bags, Battling Gloves, Hats and T-shirts through the top four placing spots. Jefferson Roofing/TOD/Angilo's topped the field going undefeated on weekend with a 6-0 record. Jefferson faced a very tough Dayton Gym /JC Penny's in the finals, winning 12-4 to win the championship and the world class "D" berth to Sterling Heights, Michigan this fall. Dayton had lost early on Sunday morning in winners' bracket play to Mitchell Towing by one run. Working back through the losers' bracket, Dayton slipped past ULC 10-9 before their rematch with Mitchell. Dayton came out on top in the second meeting by a score of 8-2 earning Mitchell third overall and sending Dayton to the championship game.
Jefferson's defense and offense was hitting all cylinders this weekend as coach Bryan Voss and also the team pitcher held Dayton to just four runs while Jefferson plated twelve runs of their own to take the championship. The game was a 5-4 battle through six inning until Jefferson exploded for seven runs to take a 12-4 lead into the bottom of the seventh….
