Stop #3 Liberty Park - Sterling Heights MI
July 10-11, 2004 - Sterling Heights , MI - Stop number three of Softball Magazine's "Rollin Road Show," Bat Wars and the National Championship Tournament Series was held at the ever popular multi-field complex Liberty Park in Sterling Heights, Michigan. "The line wrapped around the backstop and never quit all day long," said Bob Grey, National Promotional and Advertising Director for Softball Magazine. "We always get a great turnout here in Michigan. These people eat, sleep and live softball" continued Grey.
The park was alive all weekend long with Saturday being the big day with two USSSA NIT's taking place, a Men's Class "A/B" and a Men's Class "D". 

Team Sugar/Neumans Data from Michigan outlasted TJ's/Ferra from New York to win the "D" class, while Butch's Bulldog/Neumans/Easton and MRT/Mizuno, both from Michigan, shared the "A/B" title as tournament co-champions. This Stop of the National Tournament Series was sponsored by Louisville Slugger with teams battling for Louisville Slugger bats, hats, batting gloves and bat bags. Along with the tournament running center stage was the infamous Bat Wars event with hundreds of players all day long trying the latest and greatest softball bats available today.
